Single Room Occupancy (SRO)

The Single Room Occupancy (SRO) Program provides rooms for homeless individuals in Fort Collins. The federal government provides funds for rental assistance that is administered locally by the Housing Authority.

Eligibility Guidelines

Applicants for the Single Room Occupancy Program must be homeless at the time of admission and earn no more than 50% of area median income. See our current Income Requirements.

Applicants must meet citizenship or eligible immigration requirements and have a background free of recent violent or drug-related criminal activity.

A waiting list is maintained for the program. It is currently closed.

Properties and Services

Single Room Occupancy units are located in two properties in Fort Collins owned by Villages, Ltd. A room is provided and participants share common areas such as a kitchen, living room, laundry and bathrooms. A resident manager lives on site at each location. Resident managers help ensure a safe living environment and can assist residents in setting goals and finding resources.
